CAMPING |
Scout camping provides many opportunities for young men and women to help plan and participate in rugged outdoor adventures. Older Scouts may participate in high-adventure programs such as rock climbing, rappelling, and whitewater rafting. Younger Scouts may attend summer camp and learn teamwork within their patrol and troop. From summer camp, to off-season winter camping, we have activities all year long. In Scouting, fitness is fun with a purpose. | |
 | CAMP LONG LAKE Camp Long Lake was purchased in 1945 by the Potawatomi Area Council. During 1946, its first summer of operation, 308 boys camped over a period of six weeks. The Camp has grown and has kept changing with the times. Now the camp offers updated programs and addition aspects to the facilities that offer new adventures for our Scouts, from boating, to shooting sports. Camp Long Lake hosts camping and activities for all of our Scouting programs and their families. |
